| So, it's been a little while.... How have you been? Please don't look at me like that! I tried to write but school and a girl kept me away. What? No! It's not because you got fat! It's me not you. I'm just at a different place right now then you.
Well it has been a while hasn't it? I've went through an entire semester without so much as a glance at this blog. I'm sad to say that I will be unable to make the dean's list this semester. Math held me back as always. But I look forward to straight As this next semester. Ah! my friends it has been to long. What has been happening with me you ask? Well, let me tell you....
Since we last spoke I went to New York City on New Year's eve, just for the day though. Didn't want to deal with the crowds. I went to Atlantic City and played one slot machine. Yes, I gambled. But I couldn't figure out the machine so I ended losing a dollar. I should probably stick to the tables. And most recently, I'm coming up on a little six month thing that I'm looking forward to. School is now over and I look forward to a warm Summer.
So, as of now I have a few recomendations to give you. Trust me they will make your Summer better then it already is.
1. Check out the new Coldplay single. It's great. The album is out June 16th.
2. Check out Lupe Fiasco. Awesome rapper. Songs to check out "Go Go Gadget Flow", "Dumb It Down".

| Well a semester is over and all I have to look forward to is another 7 more. I get a weird feeling in my stomach whenever I start to think about my future so I usually just push it to the back of my mind and just think that I will roll with whatever comes my way. People can make all the plans they want but from just my short experience I've learned that things never go according to plan and you will end up at a completely different place then you were expecting.
I've been downloading a lot of songs these days instead of albums. That's one of the nice things about this era of digital music. You can pick and choose what you what. But that also gives rise to the popularity of really bad songs. And I mean really bad. *Cough* Cyclone by Baby Bash *Cough*. I bought my first CD album in over a year which felt weird. I like the versatility of an MP3. You can do whatever you want with it. But I am also a nostalgic person seeing as how I really would like to buy a record player and start collecting records. Sales of record players have been rising from what I've heard. My last placement in Europe had a record player which I played around with. It may sound strange but I find holding a vinyl record to be a very pleasant experience. It is a much more personal relationship between the music and you. Where you can actually feel the grooves of the music on record itself instead of just a bunch of numbers that need to be decoded before playing. And in case you were wondering the album I bought was "Mothership" by Led Zeppelin. How could I not buy it? My playlist below has been updated also.
I am sure I will not be writing again until next year so I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Things that I am looking for to next year.
Music:Coldplay's new album and maybe *gasp* U2's new one.
Movies: "In Bruges", "The Dark Knight". Trailers are online if you are curious.
But the thing I am looking forward to the most is the year itself. All the new experiences I will be having and the people I will be meeting and the people I will continue knowing.
If I'd grown up on a farm and was retarded, Bruges might impress me, but I didn't, so it doesn't. - In Bruges

| Well it's amazing how fast time flies. Almost in the middle of November with about four weeks left of class. Penn State is really weird about midterms. I just finished my last one the other week. It took me only 8 minutes to complete and I got a 47 out of a 50 on it.
Speaking of middle of November, it's finally jacket weather. I love jacket weather. But I have one problem with it. Name brands. That's right. I am sick of seeing all the jackets with Hollister, American Eagle, and Aeropostale printed in huge letters on them. Give me back European fashion where the name brand didn't matter as much as the style of the jacket. Because when comes down to it if you take away the huge letters all you have is jacket that you can buy in Wal-mart.
My music list has been updated with one of the best new bands I've heard in a while. Editors. Enjoy

| At 21 years old I shouldn’t feel old right? But sadly at the
rate this world changes you can’t help but feel it. It kind of hit me when I
was standing in a Turkey Hill looking at all the drinks in the coolers. When I
was ten or twelve I seem to remember when all there was in a coolers were sodas
and some juices.
And now at the present there are entire sections of just healthy
beverages and energy drinks. I remember when Red Bull first became popular. It’s
still one of the few drinks out today that the serving size is just one can and that is how they sell it.
Most others are 2.5 servings or more. Some even have warnings on them now. I
even remember when the Wide Mouth can was only for beer. I can’t wait to see
what has happened when I am thirty.
It’s been over a month since I last posted. Time has been
slipping by like shadows on a sunny afternoon. The leaves have been slowly
changing color for the last few days. As for most people this time of the
season, this time of year always gets me in a reflective mood. Last Fall I was
thinking of things that I had left behind and this year I am doing the same just
in another way. Most of you know by now that I did not particularly like my
second six months there. But reflecting back on it I am now seeing that those
six months was where I learned the most.
At the end of my year there they gave a little lecture about
what it will be like to go back home and how you may need to adjust to some things.
One of the things was; people not really caring about what you did or what you
experienced during your time away. I wonder why that is? I mean everyone has
had this done to them or done it to someone else. Some person is talking about
what happened to them and you couldn’t care less.
I think when you choose to do
something like what I did or what my sister is doing, it is that you are doing
for yourself. It’s your own personal journey into the unknown and when you come
out the other end you have changed. People will not want to hear about it because
they themselves have not taken the same path as you. It’s tough to experience
all that you have and are not able to express it fully.
But as you move on from
it you find the changes that happened in you start to shine through. As that
happens you go to meet that next path that will change you even more.

might be running loose in your pants. - Calvin | | |
| What must one do to be a good college student? Or in my case, what must one do to be a good commuter student who also works on the side? Does one need to attend all school functions in order to get the most for ones money? Not at all, the school does host several good programs to which you can attend though. But back to the question, do you know it? I'll give you a hint. Pay freakin attention in class!!!! It's sad when you have white trash attending college with no urge at all to learn.
The above paragraph stems from my experiences in my "Intro to the Visual Arts" class. It's the one class that is closest to a public high school experience I will get. You get everything in this class, jocks, nerds,WT, and me.
For those that are curious the classes that I am taking for this semester are as follows.
Bases of Human Disease
Introductory Algebra
Intro to Psychology
Information Systems Technology Seminar (worth one credit)
Shakespeare
And my art class.
The university has a really good online service which is divided into three parts. Elion (this is mostly your paperwork stuff involving semesters), your normal email service, and Angel which allows you check for homework and submit your work, you can also check your grades and contact your instructor.
As my last post stated I was working at "Toys R Us", but several days ago I walked into the theater where I had worked before I left and was promptly offered a job. The pay was better and I can do my homework there at certain points. So say what you will but I go where the opportunity is.
My playlist is updated. I am a little annoyed that Xanga only allows you one Currently option, so I will give you some more of what I am doing.
Currently Reading: The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis. Currently Listening: Neil Diamond "12 Songs" Interpol "Antics" The Arcade Fire "Funeral" Currently Watching: Forbidden Planet
